SHERMAN, Texas --  Jolene Senek, LBSW, CT, GC-C, Bereavement Coordinator, who specializes in grief support at Home Hospice of Grayson, Cooke and Fannin Counties will be speaking on “Helping Kids Deal with Grief” August 27. She will give a 25-minute talk and 25 minutes of question and resource time.

It has been said by grief experts that children can be the forgotten mourners when dealing with grief and loss. If your child has experienced a loss you may have noticed some changes in their behavior or discovered their response to the loss is not what you expected. If you are wondering how to best support the child in your life through this loss, then I encourage you to join us at F-P.I.E. where we will talk about how children grieve differently and strategies to help them cope.

F- P.I.E. Partners In Education meets the fourth Wednesday of every month at TEAM Center, 608 W. 16th St. in Bonham. Meeting begins at 2:00. This event is free and open to the public.  Complimentary pie and coffee will be served.

F-PIE (Fannin Partners in Education) is a cooperative effort of local agencies including Home Hospice of Grayson, Cooke, and Fannin Counties, Area Agency on Aging (TCOG), Clyde W. Cosper (Texas State Veterans Home), AgriLife Extension Office (Texas A&M System), and Texoma Housing Partners (TCOG).  On the last Wednesday of each month F-PIE hosts educational programs that enrich the mind and entertaining programs that tickle the funny bone.
