Bonham, Texas -- The Glaser Family Charitable Foundation recently presented a check for $8,000 to the Children’s Center to support a variety of services and projects to benefit the children of Fannin County.

"The Glaser Family Charitable Foundation has always been a proud supporter of the Children’s Center,” said Cindy Bankston, Executive Director of the Glaser Family Charitable Foundation.  “The first grant that the foundation awarded was in 2002 to the center to help with the purchase and remodeling of their current office.”

The first grant from the foundation totaled $50,000.  It was the lead gift in a capital campaign to raise $150,000 to purchase and renovate the center’s current location without incurring any debt.  Since that time, the foundation has continued to give to the Children’s Center annually.

“We are delighted that the foundation has chosen to continue to support our efforts for kids so generously for so many years,” said Sandy Barber of the Children’s Center. The grand total given by the foundation to the center in more than a decade is $132,730.

“One of the foundation’s focus areas is children's health, and our board feels very strongly that the work that the Children’s Center does in protecting children from abuse and neglect is vital to the community,” said Bankston. “We cherish the long term relationship that has developed between the two organizations over the past 12 years."
