Bonham -- Quilters and quilt lovers were weaving their way through all the quilt displays in historic downtown Bonham Saturday during the 5th Annual Quilt Hop.
Hundreds of quilts were exhibited and quilt demonstrations were scheduled throughout the day as TAPS buses shuttled fans of fabric art between displays at Creative Arts Center, Bonham Civic Center, Fannin County Museum of History, Sam Rayburn Library, Bonham Visitors Center, Fannin County Historical Commission, Bonham Public Library, Sam Rayburn House Museum and other locations in Bonham.
Guests who visited all locations were eligible to enter a drawing for quilt-themed door prizes.
The event kicked off Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. with quilt displays at eight locations around Bonham, showcasing historic, antique, and contemporary quilts, including quilts from the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky.
On Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., visitors had a chance to shop in the vendor area, see demonstrations on new quilting techniques and projects, or play a round of Fat Quarter Bingo.
