Honey Grove, Texas -- Daniel Clifton Banker, 59, passed away from this life Monday, July, 21, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Danny was born November 24, 1954, the son of Clarice Ennis and Willie Faye Thompson Banker. He followed the trade of millwright, welder, and fabricator working primarily on grain elevators and bakeries.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Sam Ennis and Maude Banker, Will and Ethel Thompson, his mother, Willie Faye Banker, and two brothers, Samuel Bryan Banker and Jackie Steven Banker.

He is survived by two daughters, Amanda Mae Banker and Tawana Nichole Banker, Six grandchildren, William Daniel, Joseph Samuel, Henleigh Brooke, Stevie Jaclyn, Jason Michael, and Jordan Ennis, his father, Clarice Banker, three brothers, C. Emery Banker and wife, Alice, Jon Banker and William Banker and wife, Valerie and one sister Carole Knudsen and husband, Roger, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Self’s Church of Christ and burial will follow at Allens Point Cemetery. Mr. Jeff Edwards and Mr. Preston Boles will be officiating. Mr. Mark Newhouse will lead singing.

Pallbearers are Justin Clark, Jason Brewer, Johnny Isham, John Manseau, Jerry Piland, Sr., and David Wooten. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Oats, David McKinney, Marvin Clark, Lynn Wadley, Gene Maroney, and Tommy Sharp.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Honey Grove.
