Hefner: June 23. Elevation below normal, water 74-78. Channel and blue catfish excellent on punch bait, live bait and dough bait at 4-8 ft. at the inlet and along riprap. White bass, striped bass hybrids and walleye good on jigs, small lures, live bait and blade baits; the walleye bite is mainly in early morning. Largemouth bass good on jigs, spinnerbaits and topwater lures at 3-6 ft. along riprap and points. Flathead catfish good on live bait and crankbaits at 4-8 ft. along riprap. Carl Blackwell: June 23. Elevation rising, water 74. Largemouth and spotted bass slow on buzz baits, rouges and minnows at 3-5 ft. in coves, around points and along shorelines. Crappie slow on minnows, jigs, tube jigs and crankbaits at 8-11 ft. around docks, the inlet and standing timber. White bass and striped bass hybrids fair on crankbaits, minnows, slabs, in-line spinnerbaits and orange or white curly tailed grubs at 3-7 ft. in coves, the main lake, riprap, flats, in the main channel and along the dam. Channel catfish excellent on cut bait, chicken liver, live bait and punch bait at 1-2 ft. around nesting areas in coves, riprap and points. Flathead catfish fair on goldfish, sunfish, minnows and crawfish at 1-3 ft. in nesting areas in shallows, rocks and creek channels; juglines, limb lines and trotlines are restricted west of the ski line boundary. White bass good on crankbaits, small lures and sassy shad at 8-16 ft. below the dam, in the tail waters and around points. Kaw: June 23. Elevation above normal, water 82. Striped bass, white bass and striped bass hybrids slow on crankbaits, live shad and sassy shad at 10-30 ft. below the dam and in the main lake; fishing below the dam has picked up while the fishing in the main lake has slowed. Flathead, blue and channel catfish good on live bait and cut bait at 3-10 ft. below the dam, along shorelines and rocks. Noodling has picked up since the lake has stabilized.
