Bonham -- It was a busy Saturday at Bonham Civic Center as area gardeners rushed to pick up their favorite vegetables, flowers and herbs at the annual Garden, Lawn & Home Expo to jump-start gardens and flowerbeds.
Bonham, one of the oldest towns in Texas, also has one of the longest-running Master Gardener plant sales in the area. Fannin County Master Gardeners hosted the 10th Annual Garden, Lawn & Home Expo on Saturday, March 29 and the response was impressive. All vendor spots were taken and by 10:00 a.m. Bonham Civic Center was filled with shoppers comparing plants and prices offered by regional growers.
There was also a wide array of lawn and patio items on display, making this event a one-stop shopping experience to improve lawns and gardens.
To top the day off, two featured speakers elaborated on important topics.
Steve Upson, Horticulture Consultant - Noble Foundation discussed fruit orchards in two morning sessions and Lee Brown, Certified Arborist – New Leaf Tree & Shrub Care, spoke during the two afternoon sessions.
