Denison -- It will be a three-day celebration of Denison's heritage this weekend as the city hosts its annual "Kick Back & Say Cheers" event.
On Thursday, March 27, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., it all gets underway in historic downtown Denison with "Kick Back & Step Out," an evening of shopping, art and wine.
Friday, March 28, the focus shifts to Vinita, former home, vineyard and laboratory of internationally recognized horticulturist, T.V. Munson. A winery tour of Vinita and local wineries is slated for 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Also on Friday, beginning at 7:00 p.m., Gateway Opera has plans for an evening of diverse distraction.
The fun reaches a fevered pitch Saturday, March 29 with a full day of festivities in downtown Denison's Heritage Park, including regional wineries, art demonstrations, entertainment and awards presented for the annual T.V. Munson Wine Competition. There will also be a reunion of artists.
