10th Annual Garden, Lawn & Home Expo scheduled for Saturday, March 29

The tenth annual Fannin County Master Gardeners’ 2014 Garden, Lawn & Home Expo is set for Saturday, March 29 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Bonham Civic Center, corner of Hwy 121 and Hwy 56, Bonham.

In 2013, vegetables were plentiful and very affordable!

Admission is free and the public is invited. The speakers’ sessions are also free.

Speakers and topics schedule:

9:30 a.m. Steve Upson, Horticulture Consultant - Noble Foundation. Topic: ‘Planning Your Home Fruit Orchard’

11:00 a.m. Steve Upson, Horticulture Consultant - Noble Foundation. Topic: ‘Establishing and Managing Home Fruit Orchards’

Lunch

1:00 p.m. Lee Brown, Certified Arborist – New Leaf Tree & Shrub Care. Topic: ‘Landscape Tree Care and Maintenance’

2:00 pm Lee Brown, Certified Arborist – New Leaf Tree & Shrub Care. Topic: ‘Tree Problems and Solutions’

Speakers begin at 9:30 and continue throughout the day.

Lee Brown, Certified Arborist – New Leaf Tree & Shrub Care, will be one of the lecturers at the tenth annual Fannin County Master Gardeners’ 2014 Garden, Lawn & Home Expo set for March 29 at Bonham Civic Center.

Area crafters, businesses and organizations will have exhibits showcasing their products and services. Exhibit and vendor
booths with plants, lawn furniture, garden items, home needs and decor, equipment and more will be promoting and offering their products to the public. There will be a silent auction and
door prizes given throughout the day.

Fannin County Master Naturalists entertain a larger-than-life racoon at last year's event.

Vendors:  Daniels Nursery-plants and related products; Plants – potted bowls, hanging baskets; Full Circle Farms – Fruit farm, Lavender products; Bois d’Arc Chapter, Master Naturalist – exhibit booth; Air-Evac Life Team – Emergency air flight;  Abundance of Faith – Inspirational gifts; Sweetwater Farm – plants; Area 21 Toastmasters – membership;  Fannin County Iris Society – iris plants; After Work Planters Club – membership; Lone Star Chic – Garden accessories, yard and wall art; Fannin B.E.E.S. –(Beautification, Education, Enforcement Strategies) membership; Kemiko Concrete Stains – Concrete stains and top coats; Kaleidoscope Farm – organic fertilizer, worm castings ……….and more.
