Zebras almost always look healthy, even almost fat. One of the reasons is they have 26 different worms that aid in digestion. Zebras also lead the Great Migration. They have lower and upper teeth that can eat both tall and short grass. By eating the tall grass, they create grazing for other animals, and predators cannot hide in the tall grasses. The Great Migration follows the more nutritious grasses for the long and hard journey, and gives better nutrition for nursing animals.

The knots on the tree are filled with water.

This elephant was more curious about us than we were about her.

Notice the long tongue; perfect for eating the leaves from trees and bushes.

Elephants have the right-of-way...safari vans are called "African ants."

Lions don't usually climb trees, but to avoid flies and ants, the do sometimes. If they are not taught to climb trees as a cub, they will not as an adult.

This little bandit stole Don Dodson's apple from his balcony. Only 15 minutes earlier a monkey jumped in the restaurant at breakfast and swiped his banana, but he eat it too fast for the camera to document.
