Kiwanis Club of Bonham so enjoyed “Giving Tuesday” that they set their own second “Giving Tuesday.” This time Kiwanis gave donations to Fannin Literacy Council (Julie Craig); Four Star 4H Club for their Christmas dinner (Cindy Berg); and Fannin County Christmas Committee (Brad Nichols). Kiwanis manages Bonham Trade Days to earn their money and it is one of the highlights of the club to be able to donate to such worthy causes.

Elected as a new member was Don Grammar. Mary Hale, wife of member Dan Hale, was a guest.

Bill Shipp, Bonham City Manager, announced that the City of Bonham will receive residential storm-damaged limbs on Friday, December 20 and Saturday, December 21 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bonham Sports Complex (baseball, softball, soccer fields) off Silo Road at 2800 West 12th Street, west of town.

Wearing their Kiwanis pins were Judge Lauri Blake, Kenny Karl, and Mary-k Ashley Wilson.

The next Bonham Trade Days will be Thursday through Sunday, January 9-12, 2014. This will be a good place to spend some of your Christmas-gift money.

Kiwanis continues to meet for lunch Tuesdays at Cappy’s Café in beautiful downtown Bonham.
