Did you ever want to ride in a helicopter? Well, here is your chance. And this is not just any helicopter, but the famous UH-1 Huey helicopter, probably the most identifying symbol of the Vietnam War.

A benefit concert and silent auction to help fund the Collin County Fallen Warrior Portrait Project will be held Saturday, October 19 at Orison's Art Gallery, 110 E. Louisiana Street (downtown, on the south side of the square) in McKinney, Texas.

The main festivities begin at 6:00 p.m.; however, bids for the auction will be taken beginning at 10:00 a.m. and ending at 8:30 p.m. Out-of-town bids can be sent to colinkimball@live.com. Cash or checks only, please. Auction items include, music memorabilia, autographed CD from Madison Rising, jewelry, books, paintings and other works of art, ladies handbags, and much more.

Original Texas Music will be performed by The Red River Surfers, with RD Foster, Mikey "Six Strings" Sanchez, along with singer/songwriter Paul Gorman and more guests.

The concert and auction is sponsored by American Legion Bill Bryan Post 110 Fallen Warrior Portrait Project. All proceeds go into the fund to place on permanent display in the Collin County courthouse, portraits of Collin County servicemen who were killed in action. The first annual ceremony will be held Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, at 11:00 am, at the Collin County Courthouse.  For more information go to Collin County Freedom Fighters website - www.ccfreedomfighters.com
