Fannin County Criminal District Attorney Richard Glaser released a list of people who entered plea agreements with his office during the June dockets before Judge Laurine Blake of the 336th District Court of Fannin County. The following individuals either entered guilty pleas and accepted responsibility for their conduct without further court action or went to trial and a Fannin County Jury rendered the verdict and sentence indicated.
Sallie Pearl Armstrong, 48, of Bonham, plead guilty to the State Jail Felony offense of Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse. Armstrong was convicted and sentenced to a term of 12 months incarceration in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – State Jail Division, assessed restitution in the amount of $275.68 and court costs in the amount of $259.
Brandon Ray Bates, 24, of Bonham, pled guilty to the State Jail Felony offense of Delivery of Marijuana >¼ oz ≤5 lbs. Bates was placed on Deferred Adjudication Community Supervision for a period of 5 years, assessed a fine in the amount of $2,000, restitution in the amount of $140 and court costs in the amount of $324.
Tony Joe Billy, 19, of Leonard, pled guilty to the State Jail Felony offenses of Theft of Property ≥$1,500 <$20,000 and Poss CS PG 1 <1G. Billy was placed on Deferred Adjudication Community Supervision for a period of 4 years in each case. In the theft case, Billy was assessed a fine in the amount of $1,000, restitution in the amount of $1,500and court costs in the amount of $314. In the Possession of a Controlled Substance case, Billy was assessed a fine in the amount of $1,000, restitution in the amount of $140and court costs in the amount of $319. The sentences in each of Billy’s cases shall run concurrently.
Alecia Gail Box, 31, of Bonham, pled guilty to the 2nd Degree Felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation. Box was placed on Deferred Adjudication Community Supervision for a period of 10 years, assessed a fine in the amount of $1,000, restitution in the amount of $1,000and court costs in the amount of $249.
Blake Alan Brown, 19, of Pottsboro, pled guilty to the 3rd Degree Felony offense of Evading Arrest Detention w/Vehicle. Brown was placed on Deferred Adjudication Community Supervision for a period of 4 years, assessed a fine in the amount of $500and court costs in the amount of $249.
Eddie Lynn Cox, 30, of Leonard, pled guilty to the State Jail Felony offense of Poss CS PG 1 >1G. Cox was placed on Deferred Adjudication Community Supervision for a period of 4 years, assessed a fine in the amount of $1,000and court costs in the amount of $304.
Steven Edward Crouch, 58, of Bonham, plead guilty to the State Jail Felony offense of Poss CS PG 1 >1G. Crouch was convicted and sentenced to a term of 2 years incarceration in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – State Jail Division, assessed a fine in the amount of $1,500, restitution in the amount of $140 and court costs in the amount of $324. After sentencing Crouch, the court suspended his sentence and placed him on Community Supervision for a period of 3 years.
Brandon Scott Douglas, 32, of Denison, plead guilty to the Second Degree Felony offense of Sexual Assault of a Child. Douglas then submitted to a jury trial to determine the appropriate punishment in his case. This procedure is sometimes referred to as a “slow plea”. The jury sentenced Douglas to a term of 17 years incarceration in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division which Judge Blake imposed, and assessed court costs in the amount of $709. Douglas will be required to register with the Texas Department of Public Safety as a Sex Offender for the rest of his life. After the trial, the jury informed the District Attorney’s Office that it selected 17 years as punishment so that Douglas would never forget that 17 is the age of sexual consent in the State of Texas.
Thomas Blake Francis, 31, of Bonham, pled true to the allegations contained in the State’s Motion to Revoke Community Supervision, was convicted and sentenced to a term of 4 years incarceration in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division, assessed restitution in the amount of $140, a fine in the amount of $1,675, and court costs in the amount of $355 for the 3rd Degree Felony offense of Manufacturer/Delivery of a Controlled Substance <1 Gram Drug Free Zone committed on July 14, 2008. Due to the Drug Free Zone allegation, Francis must serve his entire sentence without the possibility of parole.
Jeremy Quentin Fuller, 36, of Wolfe City, plead guilty to the Second Degree Felony offense of Poss CS PG 1 ≥4G <200G (Enhanced). Fuller was convicted and sentenced to a term of 8 years incarceration in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division and assessed court costs in the amount of $324.
Tanner Neal Goff, 20, of Norman, OK, plead guilty to the 1st Degree Felony offense of Man/Del CS PG 1 ≥4G <200G. Goff was placed on Deferred Adjudication Community Supervision for a period of 7 years, assessed a fine in the amount of $2,000 and court costs in the amount of $259.
Jeffrey Nathaniel Hunter, 28, of Bonham, pled guilty to three allegations of the State Jail Felony offense of Abandon Endanger Child Criminal Negligence - Enhanced. Hunter was convicted and sentenced to a term of 5 years incarceration in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division and assessed court costs in the amount of $304 in each of his three cases. The sentences in each of Hunter’s three cases shall run concurrently.
Reagan Michelle Mapps, 25, of Commerce, plead guilty to the State Jail Felony offense of Man/Del CS PG 1 <1G. Mappswas placed on Deferred Adjudication Community Supervision for a period of 5 years, assessed a fine in the amount of $2,000 and court costs in the amount of $324.
Kenneth Lee McFail , 58, of Bonham, plead guilty to the Second Degree Felony offense of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, the Third Degree Felony offenses of Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More and Poss CS PG 1 <1G Drug Free Zone, and the State Jail Felony offense of Abandon Endanger Child Criminal Negligence. McFail was convicted and sentenced to a term of 7 years incarceration in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division, assessed a fine of $2,267 and court costs in the amount of $50 for the Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon offense; to a term of 4 years incarceration in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division and assessed court costs in the amount of $309 for the Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More offense; to a term of 3 years incarceration in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division and assessed court costs in the amount of $309 for the Poss CS PG 1 <1G Drug Free Zone; and to a term of 2 years incarceration in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – State Jail Division and assessed court costs in the amount of $249for the Abandon Endanger Child Criminal Negligence. The sentences in the Aggravated Assault, Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More and the Abandon Endanger Child Criminal Negligence cases shall run concurrently; however, the sentence in the Poss CS PG 1 <1G Drug Free Zone will run consecutively to McFail’s other charges after they have been satisfied or served. Additionally, due to the Drug Free Zone allegation McFail must serve his entire 3-year sentence without the possibility of parole.
Tim Petty, 42, of Bonham, plead guilty to the Second Degree Felony offense of Aggravated Assault w/ Deadly Weapon. Petty was placed on Deferred Adjudication Community Supervision for a period of 5 years, assessed a fine in the amount of $2,000 and court costs in the amount of $294.
Zachery Kyle Rhodes, 21, of Sherman, pled true to the allegations contained in the State’s Motion to Adjudicate Guilt and was convicted and sentenced to a term of 15 years incarceration in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division for the 1st Degree Felony offense of Manufacturer/Delivery of a Controlled Substance ≥4G <200G committed on February 21, 2011.
Sonny Wayne Paul Scott, 33, of Sulphur Springs, pled guilty to the Third Degree Felony offense of Obstruction or Retaliation. Scott was convicted and sentenced to a term of 4 years incarceration in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division and assessed court costs in the amount of $244.
Stephanie South, 32, of Bonham, plead guilty to the State Jail Felony offense of Poss CS PG 1 <1G. South was placed on Deferred Adjudication Community Supervision for a period of 3 years, assessed a fine in the amount of $1,500 and court costs in the amount of $324.
Misty Dawn Stauts, 31, of Bonham, plead guilty to the Third Degree Felony offense of Theft of Property ≥$20,000 <$100,000 and State Jail Felony offense of Poss CS PG 1 <1G. Stauts was placed on Deferred Adjudication Community Supervision for a period of 10 years, assessed a fine in the amount of $1,000, and court costs of $254 in the Theft of Property ≥$20,000 <$100,000 case; and placed on Deferred Adjudication Community Supervision for a period of 5 years, assessed a fine in the amount of $1,000 and court costs in the amount of $249in the Poss CS PG 1 <1G case. Stauts’s sentences will run concurrently.
William Chase Westmoreland, 24, of Wolfe City, pled guilty to the Third Degree Felony offense of Evading Arrest Detention w/Vehicle. Westmoreland was convicted and sentenced to a term of 5 years incarceration in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division, assessed a fine in the amount of $2,000 and court costs in the amount of $264. After sentencing Westmoreland, the court suspended his sentence and placed him on Community Supervision for a period of 5 years.
