McKinney Performing Arts Center June 21-23

McKinney, Texas, June 19, 2013 –Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Jr, is being presented by McKinney Repertory Theatre Broadway Bound Summer Camp June 21-23 at the McKinney Performing Arts Center.

Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Jr.  is directed by a team of local talent. Cindy Armstrong, McKinney HS Choir Director is the Producer and Vocal Director.  Dowell MS Theatre teacher Colin Wells is the Director,  McKinney North HS Tech Theatre teacher Lisa Martin is the Technical Director,  and Deerpark MS (Roundrock ISD) Choir director Kirk Anderson is the Choreographer.  Students from MRT’s Young Actors Guild have helped with set construction, costumes and makeup.

Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Jr.  marks  MRT’s 9th season of Broadway Bound productions. Past productions include Willy Wonka, Jr., Musicman, Jr., Seussical, Jr., The Pirates of Penzance, Jr., and Disney’s Aladdin, Jr., Alice in Wonderland, Jr. and Beauty and the Beast, Jr. This year, there are more than 40 campers with different casts for the Friday evening/Saturday matinee shows and Saturday evening/Sunday Matinee show.

Performances are at 8 p.m.  June 21 and 22, and at 2pm on June 22 and 23, in the Courtroom Theater, at the McKinney Performing Arts Center.  The McKinney Performing Arts Center  is located at 111 N.
