The North Texas group traveling in Italy celebrated Mother's Day with a special  breakfast, with the men of the trip honoring all women this day by having ten trees planted in a national forest by the Arbor Day Foundation.  The men also presented flowers to the women at the breakfast.

Don and Carol Dodson, tour hosts, gave each participant a handmade ceramic plate as a remembrance of the trip.  The ceramic plates were designed especially for this trip, and only 36 were created.  They were done at at artist studio in Sorrento, on the Amalfi Coast in southern Italy.  No other plates like this will be made again.

After the breakfast ceremonies the group was joined by our guide for the day.  The day was spent in the Chianti region where they visited a famous family, toured the vineyards, the winery, had a wine tasting, and lunch.
