After a five course, four-hour dinner last night, the most common words heard were I'm so full I'll never eat again. But this morning all plates were full once again as everyone enjoyed their breakfast.

Today marks the beginning of the final phase of the trip, four days in Tuscany. Once again the group will stay in a former palace, now a four star hotel. Tonight will be a gourmet dinner with a combined wine tasting of local wines.

On the way to Tuscany, the group will stop at Historic Padova. A local guide will provide a highlight tour before lunch. And, of course, always shopping.

After spending four days touring Milan and Lake Como, the group moved to phase two of the trip where they traveled to near Venice.  The hotel is a four star former Bishop's palace located next to a nature preserve and on a small river.  On the way to Venice, the group stopped for a gourmet lunch at a restaurant under the trees and along the Brenta river.

After lunch the group took time out to shop and visit the ancient town of Bassano del grappa, with narrow streets lined with painted houses and the squares bordered by arcades.

In the early afternoon the group visited a very old grappa distillery owned by the Nardini family.

The next stop will be Venice for some of the group, while others will visit strada del prosecutor for a wine tasting.
