The Fannin County Children’s Center has many activities planned for this month. They want to encourage everyone to get involved and do something, no matter how big or small.
Here are some suggestions:
- Follow the Fannin County Children’s Center on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and/or Instagram. Repost and share information or facts you find interesting or meaningful.
- Wear Blue on April 10, when it will be Go Blue Day in Texas. Get others at your school or workplace to join in and snap a photo of your group and send it to us to share.
- Spread the message “No Excuse for Child Abuse.” Businesses, schools and churches can post this on their marquee signs. The Children’s Center is also selling yard signs and banners with this slogan on them. Once again, be sure to take a picture and send it to the center to post.
- Come to “Stand Up for Kids” on April 10 from 3:30 to 5:30 at Simpson Park in Bonham. There will be lots of free family fun, including bouncy houses, pony rides, petting zoo, puppet shows, games, hot dogs, popcorn and more.
- Come to the 20th Anniversary Open House at the Children’s Center on April 25, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at 112 W. 5th in Bonham. There will be tours, birthday cake, refreshments, historical displays, children’s artwork, networking and more. Presentations will start at 5:30 pm.
- Say a prayer for abused and neglected children on Blue Sunday, April 28. Go to www.bluesunday.org for more information.
- Get creative – figure out how to show your blue or spread the message of “No Excuse for Child Abuse.” Use blue ribbons, blue lights or whatever else you can dream up! Of course, be sure to take photos and send it to the Children’s Center to post and share.
Photos and stories can be sent to the Children’s Center at info@fanninccc.org.
