You are invited to join the Fannin County Master Gardeners to enjoy a program by Dean Price before our regular meeting Monday, April 1, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.  The Master Gardeners meet at the Bonham Civic Center/Armory Building the first Monday of the month.  There will be a business meeting after Mr. Dean Price’s presentation.

Dean Price grew up in Mulberry, where he learned many things at his father’s knee.  Mr. Price will be sharing some of those things for doing more with less that his father taught as they ‘truck farmed’ in the Mulberry bottoms.

One of the things Mr. Price’s father taught him, making paper pots to start plants, will be our ‘take-away’ knowledge tonight. Mr. Price is the author of Treasure River and River of Dreams about his beloved Red River, the banks of which produced the wood Dean used to make furniture.

Fannin County Master Gardeners are a volunteer organization that is part of the Texas AgriLife Extension Service. Volunteers work to extend the efforts of the County Extension Agents in education, research and to enhance community life.
