'Historic African American Families of Denton County: The Quakertown Story' slated Feb. 23

The Denton County Office of History & Culture will present “Historic African American Families of Denton County: The Quakertown Story” on Saturday, February 23, at St. James A.M.E. Church in Denton. 

The story will be presented by Gretel L’Heureux, Denton County Education/Tourism Coordinator, from 12:45 .m. to 1:30 p.m. during the two-day fair celebrating African American History Month.

Chelsea Stallings, Museum Assistant for the Denton County Office of History & Culture and currently a graduate student from the History Department at the University of North Texas, will also be giving a presentation of oral history interviews from Quakertown descendants.
