February is Black History Month and the Creative Arts Center has an exhibit planned that features black artists from Bonham and the region.  The opening reception on Friday, February 1 at 6:00 p.m. will be a treasure trove of art, music and entertainment from the black community.

Organizers Phil Blander, Rebecca Hill and Ruby Neely have scheduled the Fairview Baptist Church choir and the youth group from Little Bethel Baptist Church to perform, as well as saxophonists William Kharl and Booker T. Neely, vocalists Susan Vargas and Ronnie Hill and others.

Dr. John Hanners, Phil Blander and Ruby Neely are featured speakers.

Soul food will be served and the event is free to the public.
