McKinney, Texas – The McKinney Ladies Association (MLA), formerly known as the Stonebridge Ranch Ladies Association (SRLA), welcomes the public to participate in an evening of service for Community Lifeline Center in February.

The evening of community service will occur at MLA’s regular February 2013 meeting, set for 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11 at Community Lifeline Center in McKinney. MLA also provides ongoing financial support to Community Lifeline Center, which assists local residents in unexpected crises and helps them navigate their way back to self-sufficiency. Assistance ranges from financial help for rent, utilities and food, to medical or prescription assistance and includes job search training, credit and budget counseling. Community Lifeline also serves U.S. veterans and organizes special projects throughout the year, such as collecting and distributing school supplies and holiday meals. Community Lifeline Center recently moved to a new location, at 1601 W. University Drive. MLA members are looking forward to rolling up their sleeves and helping Community Lifeline with any tasks that support the organization’s transition to its new facilities, Rath said. The public is welcome to assist.
