Bonham -- In 57 sites across the U.S., Regional Veterans Day Observances are being held to honor all who served. Five locations in Texas were selected to host Regional Veterans Day Observances: Austin, Bonham, Dallas, Houston and Killeen.

"Thank you for joining us here today to honor our veterans," VANTHCS Assistant Director Eric Jacobsen told the crowd gathered in Warrior Stadium. "America has been blessed like no other country.  For us, every day is Veterans Day, ensuring 22 million U.S. veterans that every American veteran has a home in America.  A grateful nation expects that commitment from us. We will be remembered by our accomplishments, not our promises."

In a day that featured a military flyover, patriotic music, a rifle volley and the roar of a cannon, the stars were the U.S. veterans that attend this annual tribute in large numbers.
