Owl Walk, 'Birds of Prey' program at Bonham State Park

Birds will be featured at events slated for Friday and Saturday at Bonham State Park.

On Friday, November 2 an owl walk is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.

Anyone interested in joining the owl walk should meet in the parking lot in front of the restrooms.

Birds of Prey will be the focus Saturday when Doris Mager returns for another fascinating program. A great horned owl and a vulture are among the raptors Doris will bring.

Birds of Prey will be held at 10:00 a.m. and again at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2010

Park entrance fees are $3 for ages 13-65. 12 and under get in free, while entrance fees are $2 for 65 and older.

Directions: To reach the park, go 1.5 miles southeast of Bonham on State Highway 78 to FM 271, then two miles southeast on FM 271; enter on Park Road 24. Bonham Location Map media download(PDF 22.6 KB)

Doris Mager will be back at the park again this year. She will do an Owl Walk on Friday Night at 8:00 PM.
