Whitewright -- The 10th annual Grand Street Fall Festival in Whitewright gets bigger and better every year and a wide selection of live music is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. until the festival closes at 4:00 Saturday, November 3.
It all gets underway bright and early at 9:00 a.m. with a 15-minute performance by the Whitewright High School Marching Band, folowed by an acoustic set by Stacey Cohorst.
Free admission & parking with the festival kicking off at 9 and there will be live entertainment on the main stage all day, including a performance by Elvis tribute artist Charlie Whitworth at 11:45 a.m. and then pop artists, The Heidi Zettl Band. In all more than a dozen very talented performers promise to entertain the crowd.
The North Texas Firefighters Chili Cook Off starts in the morning with tastings available to the public for only $5 starting at 12:35. All proceeds go to participating volunteer fire departments to help them purchase equipment, make repairs, etc. Everyone loves firefighters and chili, so be sure to drop by and take a chance on one of the many raffles taking place and help them raise money.
The Whitewright Future Farmers of America are holding the Custom Car Show that will include beautiful custom cars &trucks, motorcycles and low riders, with judging taking place at 2:30 p.m.
