What do North Texas Firefighters, the Whitewright FFA and the Whitewright Area Chamber of Commerce all have in common? Why it is the 10th annual Grand Street Fall Festival on November 3 from 9:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m., as it is a major fundraiser for each!
Historic downtown Whitewright plays host once again for a day filled with live entertainment, festival food of all kinds, kid fun with rides & games, upwards of 100 vendors of all kinds, wine tastings, custom car show and our 3rd annual firefighter chili cook off, sanctioned by The Chili Appreciation Society International. Downtown businesses will be open too.
Free admission & parking with the festival kicking off at 9 and there will be live entertainment on the main stage all day, including a performance by Mr. Charlie Whitworth, an Elvis tribute artist, as well as a dozen other very talented performers.
Please visit our official website for the complete live entertainment schedule at www.grandstreetfallfestival.com.
The North Texas Firefighters Chili Cook Off starts in the morning with tastings available to the public for only $5 starting at 12:35. All proceeds go to participating volunteer fire departments to help them purchase equipment, make repairs, etc. Everyone loves firefighters and chili, so be sure to drop by and take a chance on one of the many raffles taking place and help them raise money.
The Whitewright Future Farmers of America are holding the Custom Car Show that will include beautiful custom cars &trucks, motorcycles and low riders, with judging taking place at 2:30 p.m.
