Festival of Flight
Nov. 3, 2012~10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Jones Field Airport~Bonham, Texas
It is our great pleasure to bring to Bonham, Texas a very special opportunity and event that may have a great economic impact and community-building aspect. We are hosting the Bonham Festival of Flight on November 3, 2012 from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and have multiple activities and excitement planned for the day at our very own Jones Field Airport.
The history of our airport is extensive and we hope that you have a good feeling and grasp of the necessity of the airport. It is our desire and goal to show off how well the city has managed the airport and share the vitality of the area.
This day will give us a chance to showcase some of the World War II aircraft that helped build and defend this great nation. We are excited to get to share experiences with our veterans as we give back a day of tribute to them as well. The tribute begins at 1:00 p.m. We also have the opportunity to showcase some more modern aircraft and activities for children to get involved with, such as the Young Eagles Program where children can ride for free in an airplane with an experienced adult pilot.
The Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce, Bonham Economic Development Corporation, and the City of Bonham have come together to sponsor this event for you and all Texoma citizens. TAPS has also agreed to provide transportation free of charge from the airport to downtown Bonham. Don't miss this FREE event the entire family can enjoy. So bring your lawn chairs and cameras and join us.
