Mayor to proclaim Oct. 19-20 as Lions Club Weekend in McKinney
The McKinney Lions Club celebrates 92 years of service to the McKinney community this weekend by hosting the Lions’ North Texas 2-E2 District 2012 Autumn Conference at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites in McKinney, Texas, on Oct. 19-20.
The event starts with a Friday night social featuring a Mexican buffet and entertainment by the McKinney Dance Band (an ensemble of the McKinney Community Band). The next day features district business matters and speakers pertaining to the Lions’ primary purpose – embracing a central focus on eyesight, vision, and eyeglasses for those in need, including:
· World Services for the Blind
