"There is no scarier or more entertaining haunted attraction in the DFW area!"

Caddo Mills, Texas -- Ready for true terror? The Haunt House - deemed the scariest haunted attraction in all of Texas by HauntWorld Magazine - unleashed its sixth season on Saturday, September 15, 2012, and will remain open every weekend through November 3 (Saturdays 7pm-12am, Sundays 7pm-10pm) and, of course, on Halloween itself (7pm-11pm).

The Haunt House is located in the eastern part of the Dallas Metroplex, right off Interstate 30. Tickets are $17, and parking is free.

The scare factor begins long before guests set foot inside The Haunt House.

"The experience starts as soon as you walk through the gate," says founder Bart Butler, who has 21 years of top-quality haunt experience. "On any given night, we have a number of scared customers who can't make it past the front door. The larger the crowd, the more who don't make it in."

Unlike haunted houses that spring up in shopping malls and other temporary spaces, The Haunt House is a permanent facility, purpose-built from the ground up. Butler and his business partner, Paul Kollaritsch, have assembled a skilled team, which has been hard at work on The Haunt House all year. The result: It's more than 30% better - and more terrifying - than last year.

"We want to totally immerse you into our show," says Butler. "We do that by bringing realism into our haunt. Our sets and scenes are extremely detailed. Actors are well trained to not only scare you, but to entertain you. The actors go so far as to have a back story to the character they are playing to bring you a reason as to why they are there."

Visitors to The Haunt House are treated to a frightening experience as they navigate in the dark through this "former dark carnival ride," which has been the scene of countless murders. Along the way, they'll encounter a gruesome cast of iconic characters, including Spoils the (murderous) Clown; his brother, the zombie-esque politician Rigor T. Mortis; Malachi, the soaring scarecrow; Woodrow, the pitchfork-toting farmer; and Chaos,
the metal-faced maniac.

And if what HauntWorld Magazine calls "one of the most horrifying haunted house experiences you will ever have" isn't scary enough, there's Frights Out. On closing night, November 3, The Haunt House will be pitch-black inside. Groups will be guided in, then abandoned with nothing but a dimly lit glow stick to help find their own way out.

Usually, Butler says, "Around 10-20 people a night are too scared to make it through and are let out by our security staff." But during Frights Out, there will be no such escape-even for guests who lose their glow stick or have it stolen away.
