Valentine's Day is the 50th birthday of Brenda Beene Roberts, born in Greenville, Texas to Elery O. Beene and Ruby Dell Horton Beene.
Her sister Janice Harris and brother Billy Beene live in Sherman, Texas as do most of her nieces and nephews. Her sister Barbara Jackson spends time between Bonham, Sherman and Kennedale at her daughters' houses. Her half-sister Ellen Beene Rhew's family live in the Sherman and Denison area but Brenda doesn't know where Ellen lives at present.
On Valentine's Day, Brenda says, she wants a huge, huge party!
When she was born, the doctor drew back to spank her to make her cry and open her lungs and when she cried before he could hit her, the doctor told her mother that Brenda was "too smart to live" and that she wouldn't make it to 5.
