October 14, 1890 a baby boy was born in Denison, Texas. The baby was Dwight D. Eisenhower. Dwight Eisenhower grew into a young man and attended the U.S. Military Academy and became a U.S. Army Officer. Lt. Eisenhower worked his way thru the ranks to become a Five Star General and the Supreme Commander of the Allied European Forces and leader of the D-Day Invasion.

In 1948 General Eisenhower retired from the U.S. Military and accepted the position of President of Columbia University. This job was short lived, in 1950 President Harry Truman recalled General Eisenhower to serve as the head of NATO. General Eisenhower ran for President of the United States of America in 1952 and was elected our 34th President and went on to serve two terms, from January 20, 1953 to January 20, 1961.
