Fannin County -- Opening day at Fannin County Fair featured fun, food, family and friends as the premier autumn event in the county got underway Wednesday evening.
Ribbons here handed out by judges at some activities, such as the Arts & Crafts Show, the Horse Show and the Photography show, with much more to come in the next three days.
Children were busy Wednesday unloading cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens and rabbits for upcoming shows.
Pageantry will begin Thursday and culminate with the crowning of the Fannin County Fair Queen Saturday night.
Thursday will be Carnival Arm Band Night and the Commercial Heifer Show will be held Thursday.
