Denison -- Fall festival season is in full bloom and thousands of visitors will be in downtown Denison Saturday, October 6 for one of North Texas' most popular events, the annual Denison Fall Festival.
Denison is known throughout the region for its colorful downtown and thriving arts community; the Denison Fall Festival is a wonderful opportunity to sample the wares at local restaurants or food vendors after a day of shopping in art galleries and at the festival where everything from local honey to custom jewelry can be found.
Officially, the 2012 Denison Fall Festival begins at 9:00 a.m. and closes at 5:00 p.m., but people actually begin arriving at 7:00 a.m. for the popular pancake breakfast.
A variety of musical entertainment is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. until the festival closes.
There will also be a car show, a motorcycle show and games for the children.
