Color Me Green 5K and Caterpillar Dash

Community invited to Frisco Square October 6

FRISCO, TX  – The Color Me Green 5K & Caterpillar Dash sponsored by AT&T, Dr. Pepper Snapple and Market Street benefits the TeamConnor Childhood Cancer Foundation. On October 6, the Frisco Square will be transformed into a green square symbolizing childhood cancer awareness. This one of a kind event brings together childhood cancer advocates, survivors, families, and the community to raise awareness and funds to find a cure.

This exciting event invites people of all different speeds, ages, and backgrounds to unite together under one color- Green. The festivities will kick off at 7:30 AM with registration, pre-race snacks, and the Get Green Tent to green up!

The cost is $25 for each participant over 13; $15 for ages 6-12; and children 5 and under are free. For those who can’t participate in the event, but would like to contribute, you can purchase a virtual runner ticket for $25. To register for the event or learn more information, visit colormegreen5k.org.

Participants are encouraged to decorate themselves in green to help raise awareness for childhood cancer. There will be prizes for the most unique and colorful attire.

Every year, more than 12,400 children and adolescents are diagnosed with cancer in the United States. Childhood cancer is the number one disease killer of children, yet the budget of the National Cancer Institute allocates only 3% of its funds to pediatric cancer research. The TeamConnor Childhood Cancer Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness and funding research and treatment programs to find a cure for all childhood cancers.
