The 2012 Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Parade will be held in downtown Denison on Friday, September 28. The Grand Marshal for this year's event is Rozlyn Austin.

Rozlyn has spent most of 2012 fighting an atypical, aggressive type of breast cancer and now has been declared cancer free. She will be celebrating her victory, along with many other survivors, by turning downtown Denison pink.

The parade will start in the 700 block of West Main, with the line-up scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.

There will be an after-party at the Rialto Theater where the classic comedy Some Like it Hot starring Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon, and Tony Curtis will be showing. There will be a Mr. and Ms. Rialto contest, door prizes and concessions.

If transportation is needed, please call 903-487-2528 by 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 27.

The Pink Parade is sponsored by Denison Downtown Incorporated, Bonham Chrysler, Women Rock, Main Street Mall, and the Rialto Theater.
