Mosquitoes and West Nile Virus in North Texas

Grayson County Courthouse, 2nd Floor Assembly Room

 

Mosquitoes not only irritate and annoy people, but they also can transmit many disease-causing organisms to humans and animals.  They can spread such diseases; such as West Nile virus, encephalitis, dengue, yellow fewer, malaria and filariasis.  If you are concerned and want to know more about this problem, you will want to attend this program. 

 

Dr. Mike Merchant, Urban Entomologist, with the Texas A&M AgriLife District Office in Plano, TX will be covering such subjects as:

 

 

Grayson County Health Department will also be present to update its citizens on its current role in monitoring West Nile cases in Grayson County and sharing results on mosquito trap counts and tests analysis.

 

One CEU (Law and Regs.) will be provided for Private Applicators.  Enter the courthouse on the south side across from Knight Furniture and proceed to second floor.
