The Lady Cardinals traveled to Lone Star for the Frisco ISD Tournament and finished pool play strong.

 Facing Class 5A Garland Naaman Forest, Melissa was very competitive, but lost 25-12 and 25-18. 

Melissa bounced back in the win column by sweeping Class 4A Wylie East, 25-20 and 25-21. 

"Today was the best overall day we have had at a tournament," stated Melissa head coach Whitney Nelson. "The consistency is steady and effort is at 100% with all of the athletes." 

The Lady Cardinals (11-6) will play in the Frisco ISD Tournament tomorrow. Bracket play will be at Wakeland High School starting at 10:15 am.
