Newman Smith Trojans 21, McKinney North 17

McKinney -- For three quarters it looked as though the McKinney North Bulldogs would open the 2012 season with a victory. After all, the Bulldogs had a 3-0 lead at the first buzzer and took a 17-0 lead into the locker room at halftime.

The second half, however, belonged to the Carrollton Newman Smith Trojans.

The Trojans scored 21 unanswered points in the final two quarters to walk off the field with a 21-17 victory.
