McKINNEY, TEXAS (Aug. 31, 2012) – Today, the first major milestone of the ongoing Texas Department of Transportation project to widen U.S. 75 from the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT) to White Ave. in McKinney occurred this morning with the reopening of the Eldorado Pkwy. exit from U.S. 75 northbound.
The TxDOT construction project is anticipated to be complete in March 2015 and will provide extra capacity by widening U.S. 75 to four main lanes in each direction and three frontage road lanes in each direction.
The Eldorado Pkwy. Exit from northbound SRT to northbound U.S. 75 also is still closed. It is expected to reopen soon, but an exact date has not yet been determined.
In order to get to Eldorado Pkwy. from northbound SRT, drivers should exit SRT to the frontage road and continue to the U.S. 75 frontage road to Eldorado Pkwy. For additional alternate routes and more information on the project, visit www.mckinneytexas.org/construction
