Burglary of Building - August 23, 300 Block Cherry St. Reporting Officer Cpl. Rick Burns. A call for service was received in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, the victim advised officer's that an unknown suspect stole items out of his storage shed in his yard. The victim stated he heard his dog barking in the middle of the night but did not get up to look outside. Investigation continuing.

Burglary of Vehicle - August 24, 1300 Block Island Bayou. Reporting Officer Ptl Cory Brookshire. A call for service was received in reference to a burglary of a vehicle. Upon arrival, the victim advised officer's that the CD player was stolen out of the dash on her vehicle. There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle. Investigation continuing.

Burglary of Vehicle - August 26, 500 Block W. 9th St. Reporting Officer Sgt. Carl Graves. A call for service was received in reference to a burglary of a vehicle. Upon arrival, the victim informed officer's that someone had entered her vehicle and removed a laptop. There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle. Investigation continuing.

Theft - August 29, 2000 Block SH 121 N. Arresting Officer Ptl. Cory Brookshire. A call for service was received in reference to a theft. Upon Officer's arrival contact was made with the Loss Prevention Officer and the suspect, who was identified as Tania Diaz-Cifuentes. Officers were advised that the suspect was seen concealing items while shopping in the store.  The Loss Prevention Officer stated that he then observed Diaz-Cifuentes proceed to the check out and fail to pay for the items she had concealed.  The suspect was then apprehended and taken to the security office to wait for officer's arrival.  Diaz-Cifuentes was arrested and charged with Theft >$50 <$500 (Shoplifting).
