Tom Bean Library invites the public to an old-fashioned story time. Librarian Joetta Cotton and the Tom Bean Friends of Library have selected four participants that are indigenous to the area surrounding the city of Tom Bean and asked them to share memoirs of earlier times.

Eddy Hamilton will devote his speech to his contacts with Lucile Teague, the woman who donated some land to the city of Tom Bean for the purpose of starting a library.

Kay Bryant from Whitewright, A.C. Quinn from Tom Bean and LaVerne Darwin, owner of the second oldest continuously owned farm in Texas will round out the meeting.

Our Stories will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 8. Each story teller will have twenty minutes to share anecdotes and answer questions.

Refreshments will be served at 10:50 and the session will end at 12 noon.
