Youth who attended Fashion Camp, sponsored by Four Corners 4-H Club, presented the Fannin County Crisis Pregnancy Center (FCCPC) with baby blankets they made during the two-day camp. While presenting the blankets, the youth received a tour of the current facility and learned about the services the FCCPC offers local women.

Fashion Camp also provided the opportunity for youth to participate in a Sewing 101 course at the new JoAnn Fabrics in Sherman. They learned how to use their sewing machines, various stitches to use and how to use interfacing. They received a tour of the new store and a small sewing kit.

Bethany Arie, the Fannin County FCS Agri-Life Extension agent, provided a program on designing a fashion storyboard, and each girl made a fashion storyboard designed to their own theme.

Youth also participated in workshops relating to Fall 2012 back to school fashion, accessorizing, and comparison shopping.

Four Corners 4-H Club thanks Pecan Place Apartments for use of their community room for the two day camp and TAPS who provided transportation to camp participants to JoAnn’s Fabrics.
