Cattle theft topic of discussion
FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Come join the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) for a ranch gathering Thursday, Aug. 30, at the Hopkins County Civic Center in Sulphur Springs. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by a complimentary barbecue dinner.
Cattlemen and women will have the opportunity to meet Toney Hurley, the newest TSCRA special ranger. Hurley will update the crowd on recent livestock and equipment thefts in the area, and inform them on techniques to better protect themselves against thieves.
"TSCRA ranch gatherings are a great place for folks to get together and discuss what’s going on in the cattle business and how they can get involved,” said Joe Parker Jr., rancher and TSCRA president. “These gatherings aren’t just for TSCRA members. Anyone interested in the cattle industry is invited to attend.”
The event is open to the public. All members of the press are invited to attend.
Please RSVP to 800-242-7820, ext. 192, or rsvp@tscra.org.
