Narcotics Arrest - August 10, 700 Block S. 6th St. Arresting Officers Cpl. William Abbott, Ptl. Cory Brookshire and Sgt. Carl Graves. As the result of a narcotics investigation, Timothy Cuba and Courtney Butner were taken into custody and charged with a Bonham Police Department warrant for Delivery of Marijuana over 1/4 oz under 5 Lbs. While in custody, a search warrant was issued for the residence shared by Butner and Cuba. During the search of the residence, officers located a Wal-Mart bag containing several bags of Marijuana. Officers also located two electronic scales, a safe containing Marijuana as well as multiple bags used to package Marijuana. A pill bottle with the prescription label removed containing two different types of pills was also located. Cuba and Butner were then informed that they were also being charged with Possession of Marijuana over 4 oz under 5 Lbs., Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 3 under 28 grams and Possession of a Dangerous Drug under 28 grams.
Burglary of a Habitation - August 12, 500 Block W. 3rd St. Reporting Officer Ptl. Cory Brookshire. A call for service was received in reference to a burglary of a habitation. Upon arrival, the complainant showed the officer two screens that were bent and removed from the window. One of the windows was broken. Officers were advised that a TV was the only item missing from the residence. Investigation continuing.
Arrest - August 13, 2200 Block N. Center St. Arresting Officers Ptl. Joshua Cunningham and Ptl. Joe Gentry. A call for service was received in reference to an accident. Upon arrival, officers were advised that the occupants of one of the vehicles fled the scene on foot. Witnesses gave officers a description of the suspects. While searching the area for the suspects, officers were advised that two males were just seen running to the tree line. At that time, Officers caught sight of two male subjects matching the suspect’s description. A short foot pursuit ensued which ended with the apprehension of both suspects. The suspects were identified as Charles Pollard and Jeremy Daugherty. Daugherty was charged with Evading Arrest/Detention, Ran Red Light and Failure to Immediately Report Accident. Pollard was charged with Evading Arrest/Detention.
Assault Arrest - August 14, 1100 Block Lynn St. Arresting Officer Ptl. Joe Gentry. A call for service was received in reference to an assault. Upon arrival officers made contact with the victim. Officers observed blood on the victim’s facial area and a head wound. The suspect was identified as Lee Brasher. The victim stated he was at his neighbor’s residence when Brasher left the room and came back with a claw hammer in his hand. Brasher then hit the victim on the top of his head with the claw hammer. The victim stated an altercation ensued and he was able to get the claw hammer from Brasher. The victim then returned to his own residence and called the Police. Brasher was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon.
Arrest - August 15, 1300 Block Albert Broadfoot. Arresting Officer Ptl. Cory Brookshire. A call for service was received in reference to Criminal Trespass. Upon officers arrival contact was made with the occupants of the residence. Officers asked permission to search the residence in an attempt to locate a male suspect who had an active Criminal Trespass Warning. The officers were given permission to enter the residence. As one officer entered the front door a second officer went around to the back of the house. The officer reached the back door just as the male suspect was opening it and attempting to exit the residence. The suspect was identified as Roland Franklin. Franklin was then advised he was under arrest. A search of Franklin’s person was conducted incident to arrest. Officers located a Marijuana cigarette on Franklin’s person. Franklin was advised he was charged with Criminal Trespass Habitation and Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz Drug Free Zone.
