The Creative Arts Center in Bonham has a new executive director and she has some new plans and goals for the future. Lisa Avila has this new position and is excited to take on her new responsibilities. She gave the program at the weekly meeting of the Bonham Rotary Club on Wednesday, August 1, and expressed her gratitude to those who have had this position in the past that helped pave the road for her.

Some of Avila's goals are: to expand interest and membership to young adult artists, to increase adult programs, to start lecture series, to have more concerts, and to expand the haunted house. She wants everyone’s input and asked the Rotarians to help with any new ideas that may benefit the Creative Arts Center.

Avila also reminded the Rotarians of the play Peter Pan that will be in the Garden at the Creative Arts Center on Sept. 21, 22, and 23 and then again on Sept. 28, 29 and 30.

The Bonham Rotary Club meets every Wednesday at 12:00 noon at the Family Life Center.
