July 20 was fan appreciation night at Texoma Pride Wrestling and boy did it bring in a full house.
Pre-show we welcomed the coach and students from the Texoma Wrestling Academy. TPW Champ Tim Storm, Michael Faith and Texas Rose Champion Kyra Maya spent time in the ring mentoring the kids on bumps, falls, chops, exercise and nutrition. Fans were impressed by the skills of these future Super-Stars.

Our referee for the night was Bump Caldwell.
The opening match saw Li Fang a much loved but hated heel defeat Ricky "Prime-Time" Douglas. Ricky is fast becoming a fan favorite. In the second match "The Name That Entertains" Jasper Davis defeated The Great Dane Griffin. Dane claims that he was cheated out of the win, but it's easy to cry foul when you lose.
Match 3 had the return of the 300 lb Manimal Bull defeating Tim Swiney. This was Tim's debut for TPW.
After intermission Mike Foxx came out swinging for Michael Faith defeating him with a pin. Semi-Main Event was the return of "The Modern Day Hero" Kevin Douglas. Kevin is currently the Junior-Heavyweight for NWA. He and his opponent Aski "The Mayan Warrior" fought to a 20 minute time limit draw. Douglas challenged Aski to a "No-Time Limit" rematch in August, his challenge was accepted.
Main Event was a Red River Title Match, Kevin Morgan from Oklahoma challenged the Champion Tim Storm (from Texas) for his belt. Kevin's quest was hard fought but short-lived when Tim put his finishing move on him and pinned him for the 3 count.
Texoma Pride Wrestling is at the Sherman Elks Lodge, 1313 E. FM 1417, every 3rd Friday, next show is August 17th, doors open @ 7:00. Tickets are $10.00 for ringside and $6.00 for general admission ages 5 and up.
