Wylie: Two arrested in robbery, road rage incident

Wylie, TX, July 19, 2012 – Wylie Dispatch received a 911 call at approximately 11:19 a.m. on July 18 reporting a multiple vehicle accident at the intersection of McCreary Road and Riverway Drive.  Four people were transported to the hospital with one subject in critical condition.  Initially, Murphy and Wylie Police believed they were responding to a possible road rage incident between a blue Nissan and white Dodge, along with an innocent bystander in a minivan waiting to turn onto McCreary Road. 

During the accident investigation a call was received by Wylie Dispatch reporting an aggravated robbery at a business located on the 2800 block of FM 544.   The investigation is ongoing, but Wylie Police have determined that the victims of the robbery were chasing the robbers, resulting in the crash.  A gun was also found near the scene of the accident during the investigation.   

Following the initial investigation, two suspects in the blue Nissan Maxima were taken into custody Wednesday evening. 

Brandon Cole of Wylie and Simon Tegene of Dallas have been arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery.

The passenger of the white vehicle remains in critical condition.  

The investigation into the robbery is ongoing.
