Edith Mae Wright Weathersby, 87, passed away at her home in Honey Grove, TX Tuesday July 17, 2012. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Honey Grove. Officiating the service will be Dr. Ken Yates of First Baptist Church of Honey Grove. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery north of Honey Grove.

Named as pallbearers are: Larry Gardner, Danny Bowman, Curtis Carter, Thump Witcher, Jeff McDow and Jared Killian.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Edith Mae (Atkins) Weathersby was born August 9, 1924 to Hugh and Cora Hazel (Meorley) Atkins in Hope, Arkansas. She married Elmer Earl Wright on September 6, 1945 in the Sash, Texas community. He preceded her in death February 6, 1995. She then was married to Billy Joe Weathersby on March 29, 1998 in Bonham, Texas, who also preceded her in death on January 27, 2009. Edith was retired from the Honey Grove Independent School District where she served as the manager of the school cafeteria for several years.

Mrs. Weathersby was preceded in death by her husbands, two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by daughters Barbara Huffer of Springtown, TX, Sandra Hainline and husband Alton of Honey Grove, Donna Clement and husband Mike of San Antonio, TX and Lisa Wright of Reno, NV, grandchildren Melinda Hafley and husband Mike, Rachel Nelson, Sherri Jones and husband Jeff, Landon Wright, Darrean Wright, Jaden Wright, John Clement and 5 great grandchildren. Edith enjoyed going to the Windom Snap center, quilting and especially enjoyed her family.
