PR 20A at Eisenhower State Park to receive secondary entrance and new surface

Texas Department of Transportation and Texas Parks and Wildlife officials met Monday, July 2, 2012 with representatives of Sammy Gist Enterprises, of Clarksville, Texas in a pre-construction meeting devoted to traffic safety and construction procedures to be used during construction of a secondary entrance to Eisenhower State Park in Grayson County.  Secondary roads at Eisenhower State Park will receive various surface treatments. 

The work to be done will consist of repairing and resurfacing pavement and constructing a secondary entrance. The Contractor has been granted 105 working days to complete the $1,172,197.09 project.  The Contractor will begin setting construction signs on Monday, July 9th and work is expected to soon after.  The contract is anticipated to be completed by November, 2012. 

Motorists are urged to stop at the park information center for more information on daily construction activities. 

The traveling public is requested to observe signs, barricades, and flaggers, and to approach work zones cautiously with reduced speed.
