ATHENS

 Water clear, 82–89 degrees; 1.97' low. Black bass are good on Texas rigged Zoom Speed Craws in green pumpkin or black neon. Shad color topwaters – early morning has been effective, The bite is fairly consistent throughout the day. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. Catfish are slow on prepared bait.

BASTROP

 Water stained; 86–89 degrees. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits and Rat–L–Traps. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on shrimp, minnows, and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.

BELTON

 Water clear; 84–88 degrees; 0.54' low. Black bass are good on dark soft plastics in coves early and late. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

BRIDGEPORT

 Water clear; 83–89 degrees; 6.35' low. Black bass are good on weightless Senkos around deeper docks. Some fish being caught on drop shot rigs with Jackall Clone Fry in bluegill. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs (best action mid day). Channel catfish are fair on cut and prepared bait as well as nightcrawlers.

CEDAR CREEK

 Water lightly stained; 84–89 degrees; 1.11' low. Black bass are fair on blue fleck soft plastics, shakyheads and shallow crankbaits around docks closer to main lake – DD22 crankbaits on deeper brush piles effective as well. Some fish being caught on Jackall Iobee frogs in black near flooded willows. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are good on live shad. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair drifting cut shad.

COOPER

 Water lightly stained; 83–89 degrees; 1.68' low. Black bass are good on topwaters early. Texas rigged soft plastics are producing later in the day but afternoon bite is slow. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair to good on Sassy Shad and live shad over main lake humps. Catfish are good on prepared bait and cut bait.

FAIRFIELD

 Fishing has been slow since the fish kill in September of 2010. TPWD has discontinued stocking the lake after another kill in early September 2011. Redfish and black bass survived the kill in limited numbers.

FAYETTE

 Water stained. Black bass are good on watermelon soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits off points. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shrimp and nightcrawlers.

GIBBONS CREEK

 Water clear. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastic worms and lizards. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs. Catfish are good on live bait.

GRANBURY

 Water murky; 83–87 degrees; 1.23' low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are fair on silver striper jigs. White bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait and shrimp.

GRAPEVINE

 Water clear; 83–89 degrees; 2.13' low. Black bass are good on green pumpkin finesse worms Texas rigged and on shakyheads. Topwaters and Jackall ASKA crankbaits along main lake points are good early (best bite is in 4–8 feet). Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are fair on slabs. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut shad.

JOE POOL

 Water clear; 83–88 degrees; 0.66' low. Black bass are fair on green pumpkin Texas rigged soft plastics and medium running crankbaits in 8–10 feet. Early bite is sporadic. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on slabs. Catfish are fair to good on prepared baits.

LAVON

 Water lightly stained; 83–89 degrees; 1.88' low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged worms – crankbaits are also productive around riprap. White bass are slow on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs around bridge columns. Catfish are fair on cut shad and nightcrawlers. New TPWD regulations concerning invasive species that affect all Lavon boaters and anglers went in effect May 17. LEWISVILLE

 Water clear; 83–89 degrees; 1.39' low. Black bass are slow on finesse presentations in 10–15 feet along main lake points – key on larger rock along main lake points for best results. Larger isolated rock is best. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs and Sassy Shad. Catfish are good on prepared bait.

NAVARRO MILLS

 Water stained; 84–88 degrees; 0.04' low. Black bass are fair on shallow running crankbaits and spinnerbaits near the dam. White bass are fair on slabs and minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows and pink tube jigs. Channel catfish are fair on liver and cheesebait. Blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

PALESTINE

 Water clear; 84–89 degrees; 0.30' low. Black bass are good on finesse jigs and Texas rigged RI Beavers in hematoma near shallow cover and docks – best bite is later in the day. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Hybrid striper are good on slabs, Sassy Shad and live shad. White bass are fair on slabs and minnows. Catfish are good on prepared bait.

PROCTOR

 Water stained; 83–87 degrees; 1.42' low. Black bass are fair on small crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on minnows and shad. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on trotlines and juglines baited with live bait. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live bait.

RAY HUBBARD

 Water clear; 84–89 degrees; 0.64' low. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastics and football jigs along deeper brush piles. Medium diving crankbaits along rip rap points are catching fish. Crappie are good on minnows and Road Runners. White bass are good on humps in 17–23 feet with hybrids mixed in. Catfish are good on prepared baits.

RAY ROBERTS

 Water clear; 83–87 degrees; 0.63' low. Black bass are good on 12" Gene Larew El Salto Grande Worms in Montezuma's Revenge color fished near deep drop offs in 20 –25'. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs on COE brush piles. White bass are excellent on clear Heddon Torpedoes around schooling fish. Good success on 1 oz slabs working around humps and points in 28 – 32', after the schooling action is over. Catfish are good on Danny King's punch bait over baited holes

RICHLAND CHAMBERS

 Water clear; 83–89 degrees; 0.87' low. Black bass are good on green pumpkin finesse worms on shakyheads around docks. Carolina rigged soft plastics and black/blue football jigs around deep brush piles have also been effective. The deep crankbait bite is still slow. White bass are good on slabs and live shad. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs and live shad. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on prepared bait and nightcrawlers.

SOMERVILLE

 Water murky; 84–88 degrees; 0.29' low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits and Rat–L–Traps. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

STILLHOUSE

 Water murky; 83–87 degrees; 1.86' low. Black bass are good on chartreuse soft plastics and small crankbaits. White bass are good on minnows and watermelon jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait, chicken livers, and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.

TAWAKONI

 Water stained; 84–88 degrees; 1.03' low. Black bass are slow on Texas rigged black/blue soft plastics and hollow body frogs around vegetation. Crappie are fair on curl tail grubs and small minnows on docks, bridge pilings and deep timber. White bass are good on slabs. Striped bass and hybrid striper are good on 4" to 6" white or shad pattern Sassy Shad in the shallows early then suspending deep during the day – drifting live bait is also producing. Catfish are good in deep water drifting cut bait.

TEXOMA

 Water clear; 83–88 degrees; 0.25' high. Black bass are fair on medium crankbaits along main lake points and smaller jigs and Carolina rigs in 8–12 feet. Some fish are being caught early on topwaters. Striped bass are fair on slabs and live shad. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers and cut bait. New TPWD regulations concerning invasive species that affect all Texoma boaters and anglers went in effect May 17. WEATHERFORD

 Water clear; 84–89 degrees; 2.32' low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged soft plastics and jigs around docks and shallow cover. The early morning topwater bite is slowing down. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on prepared bait and cut shad. White bass are fair on slabs and live minnows – some schooling noted later in the day.

WHITNEY

 Water stained; 84–87 degrees; 1.20' low. Black bass are good on chartreuse Rat–L–Traps and soft plastics. Striped bass are fair on striper jigs. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Catfish are good on shrimp and live minnows.
