The 1st Saturday Genealogy Group of Tom Bean will be hosting a presentation of the DAR's history and current activities at Tom Bean City Hall's Community Center this Saturday, July 7 at 2 o'clock.
Beverly Martin from Howe, who currently holds positions as Regent of the Martha Jefferson Randolph Chapter and Associate member of Chief John Ross Chapter at Chattanooga, Tennessee, will talk about the DAR's relevance and activities in today's life. Carol Holden, who lives in Sherman, will present the historical highlights of the DAR. There will be a question and answer session afterwards.
If you're interested in American history, their presentation will educate and entertain you. Refreshments will be available. The public is very welcome. Please try to arrive a bit early to find a seat and settle in before 2 o'clock.
