Bonham, Texas --- Friends, families, companies, and co-workers are meeting at the Bonham Golf Club on July 21 for some Glow in the Dark Golf fun!  Big Brothers Big Sisters wants to make golfing more fun than it already is while also raising awareness of the impact one-to-one mentoring has on children in the community.

“There will be some friendly competition among the participants as they enjoy playing glow in the dark golf in hopes of raising monies to benefit youth mentoring programs for children,” stated Emily Neeley, Regional Executive Director.   “It is a great opportunity to get together with your co-workers, family, and friends while also directly benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters.”

The event will begin with registration at 5:00 p.m.  Tee-off will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the final 9 holes being played in the dark.  A BBQ dinner will be provided by Local Celebrity Chef Bill Yarbro who serves on the Big Brothers Big Sisters Board in Fannin County.

A cost of $50 per player or $300 per team of 6 people will include green fees, two glow in the dark golf balls per player and a delicious dinner.  All proceeds will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters in Fannin County.  Limited spots are available and will be secured at time of payment.  Any golfers who want to participate but who do not have a team of 6 adults will be paired up.

The deadline for entries and fee payments is July 18, provided spots are available.

The tournament is limited to the first 9 teams who pay in advance, space will not be saved until payment is received.  All attendees are encouraged to bring a flashlight and any glow in the dark items they wish.

Golfers may register by calling Emily Neeley at 888.887.2447 ext. 503 or emailing eneeley@bbbstx.org for more information.
